Janay, one of Fort Wayne’s newest on-air personalities, has hit the pavement running! By engaging her core female audience, Janay’s bubbly personality and tell it like it is approach has created one of the most interactive, engaging radio shows heard in a while. As an on-air radio personality and motivational/inspirational speaker, her passion reaches listeners on both a personal and realistic level.
Janay began her radio career in 2004 at Radio One/Detroit with her talk show “The Makings of a Woman,” where she addressed issues from relationships to parenting.
After her family relocated to Ohio, Janay began working with JAMZ 101.9, the #1 urban formatted radio station in Ohio, and quickly became the most recognizable African-American female in the region. As both her popularity and ratings grew, she was transferred to Wild 96.3 in Fort Wayne from 10 am to 2pm, making her the only African-American female in Fort Wayne radio.
Janay regularly interviews A-list celebrities like Vivica Fox, KeKe Palmer, Will I Am, Hill Harper, Laila Ali, Russell Simmons, Tatyana Ali, Mike Epps, Tony Toni, Alfre Woodard, Star Jones, Aisha Tyler, Omar Epps, MC Lyte, Eva Longoria, DJ Cassidy, Keisha Knight Pulliam, Nick Cannon, Elle Verner, and her personal favorite, President Obama!
